★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have use Goat Cycles over the past 2 or 3 years and have found them very helpful, efficient and effective - 5-star rating! However, today I had a problem with the mud-guard on my front wheel catching; I dropped in for some quick help - I was on the way to work (I live near to Diamond Harbour, drive over the hill with my bike on the back of my car) and could not go home to make the repair myself.
The chap in the store told me that he could not book me in until Wednesday. I explained that I just needed a small adjustment made to the mudguard. He repeated that he could not book me in until Wednesday. I asked if he could sell me a spanner to make the adjustment, he said no. I asked if I could borrow a spanner, he said no. I left very unhappy.
I very much like to be a regular customer so that I can develop a good rapport - clearly Goat Cycles do not see the world like that. As a result I will not go there again and have downgraded my 5-star rating.

These guys have great rapport with their customers - their love of bikes, riding bikes, fixing bikes and talking about bikes is infectious. Support your local shop!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These guys are well worth supporting. Without us even asking them to, they went the extra mile to get the bike sorted and kept the cost as low as possible. Not once did they try to upsell us on something we didn't want or need, and not once did we get that snooty "ooh no, your bike is too outdated, we don't do these" speech like we have at SO many other shops. Each customer is equally important to them. We will happily go back to these guys again and again.
