The term tandoor /tΙΛnety of ovens, the most commonly known is a cylindrical clay or metal oven used in cooking and baking. The tandoor is used for cooking in Southern, Central and Western Asia, as well as in the Caucasus.
The heat for a tandoor was traditionally generated by a charcoal or wood fire, burning within the tandoor itself, thus exposing the food to live-fire, radiant heat cooking, and hot-air, convection cooking, and smoking by the fat and food juices that drip on to the charcoal. Temperatures in a tandoor can approach 480 °C (900 °F), and it is common for tandoor ovens to remain lit for long periods to maintain the high cooking temperature. The tandoor design is something of a transitional form between a makeshift earth oven and the horizontal-plan masonry oven.

Meal as usual great. Restaurant simple but clean and tidy. Staff friendly Food fantastic. it has become a regular for takeaways as well

β β β β β It is evident that the quality of the food and service would be of a high standard when the owner has a passion of serving and doing the best over the fundamental fact of making money from a business. When this happens then the flow of money would be inevitable. It is clear that this is the case here at Gr8 Tandoori. Everything is exceptional and after making this our regular spot to eat and the team and chefs never fail to surprise us by doing better again and again. Keep up the good work guys and thanks for setting a benchmark.

β β β β β Terrible service. Order pav bhaji and ordered extra pav at the same time of order. But waiting for another pav for 15 min. Frankly it does not look like pav bhaji. No butter , no onion for garnishing, no lemon. Eating bread buns instead of pav bhaji. Thats not a service, where person has to wait for 15 min to get other part of meal. Both of us are waiting for our buns. Complete waste of money and time. Not recommend at all.

β β β β β I had the chicken Tikka masala takeaway. Delicious chunky bits of chicken. Great flavour, not too heavy. Medium spice has definitely got a kick to it so it's great if you have a blocked nose ?. The naan was soft and light with heaps of garlic butter. Best I've had in a little while. Also great that they are open on Mondays coz not much else is and this place is worth it.

The food is phenomenal. The flavours are amazing. One of the greater Indian restaurants around. Food is consistent always great meals even with big groups of people. Will be coming back time and again.
