First time eating here and tried the pig trotter with a bowl of rice. It's served hot and the fume of the boiled spices draws my appetite a lot. Good to eat in cold Auckland weather.

I have got a trip to Auckland and have a lunch at Gu Xiang Malaysia Restaurant base on the good rating from Google Map . The food looks good but not really taste good . The staff services is not professional. The chicken rice is below standard that the chicken is just like reheat from microwave machine with soy sauce add on separately. The E-fu noodle and the satay are also disappointed me . Just the day before I have taken another Malaysian lunch at west Auckland and definitely the food quality is much better . One reminder that you may got penalty for 1 NZD if you can’t finish your chili sauce .

Come here quite often if I'm craving Malaysian food. Most of their noodle and rice dishes are quite nice. I normally come for those during lunch. Occasionally come by for dinner and have dishes instead although they are available anytime. Most of the dishes are nice but I quite like the Prawn E-fu Noodles, crispy noodles topped with gravy and prawns. I also like their Hianese chicken, amongst the other delicious dishes. Really nice place to go for a quick and tasty meal. The service is usually quick and efficient.

I've been here a couple of times and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food is pretty tasty and there's a good variety on the menu. The service was super quick, which is always a good thing. Prices aren't too bad and are about the same for similar food locally. Will probably be back at some point.

Tried this place for the first time over the weekend as my partner recommended it after a few work lunches there. We ordered the Wat Dan Hor (rice noodles with pork, prawn, fish tofu and egg gravy), the Salt and Pepper Fried Pork and the Salted Fish and Chicken Fried Rice. Of the 3, the rice noodles was the best. The portion size was good and for a reasonable price and there's plenty of variety on the menu. Only criticism was that it could have been seasoned a bit more and for the Pork dish in particular, was a little too lean and tough. Might have been cooked twice as it wasn't very hot when it came to the table, as in heat.

The Wat Tan Hor is very nice and tasty. It has the β€œWok Hei” (Wok Thermal Radiation). The Hainanese Chicken Rice sauce is nice, it would be nice if can have bigger portions.
