★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic motel. We had a 2 bedroom suite. Fantastic value for money. It was warm, comfy, very clean and tidy... the furniture and fittings made it feel like a home away from home. Wonderful in room amenities and special little touches like a vanity kit and band aids. Fantastic, quiet location, just a quick walk to the hot pools and to town. Brett and Sue the hosts are just wonderful. 100% we would stay again.

The hosts, Brett and Sue, were incredibly accommodating. They were very flexible with the check-in and check-out times, which allowed us to maximise the amount time my partner and I could spend relaxing in the accommodation.
The room we stayed in was charming and quiet, and was fitted out with a number of thoughtful amenities that added a lot of convenience to our time in Hanmer.
All in all, a stunning find; I would most definitely choose to stay here again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This motel exceeded our expectations and is so handy to the pools and eateries. Our family apartment was sparkling, very well equipped, with a private courtyard and swing set ideal for our grandchildren. Bike storage was also available for the cyclists in the family. Thank you Brett and Sue for making our stay perfect in every way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bret and Sue are super friendly and accommodating. Bret greeted us upon arrival and let us come before the usual check in time. the room was so lovely and clean, with everything you could possibly need on a trip away. the spa bath was such a relaxing treat after a long week. my only complaint would be that the bedroom we were in didn't get much natural light, being on the ground floor it was up against a fence at the back, so it was very dark in there with out a light on. but if you are going to be out during the day that shouldn't be an issue anyway! and the lounge/kitchen has plenty of light. the area is incredibly quiet, and the sound proofing is clearly well done because even though we knew there were people in the rooms next to us that we saw arrive, we didn't hear a single thing from inside the rooms. with the doors and windows open you can hear plenty of singing birds! I couldn't thank Bret and Sue more, they made us feel so welcome and improved our entire trip. I choose to stay here based on the good reviews and decent prices and I was not let down.

It is the perfect accommodation, we rented a studio with 2 rooms , it has a beautiful common area where we were able to have a great time while our babies were sleeping.
The owners are very kind and willing to help.
Highly recommend this place :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I spent 3 nights here, just to relax and chill from Christchurch. Hosts Brett and Sue run a beautiful establishment, catering for all our needs, everyone including staff friendly. Bed and spa bath excellent. Very quiet and tranquil.
We want to thank the staff for the level of cleaning we observed over our stay and in our own room.
Made you aware how much has gone in here at Settlers, to keeping us safe from Covid. Huge thank you. Mike & Angela Foster
