★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed 2 nights, lady was very odd telling me there were no private rooms only dorms, when I was about to find another place one magically opened up. Crazy hot (like 25° at 8pm) very stingy with the AC, she came into the only guest area with AC and turned it off pretending to be cold whilst it was anything but.
turned away 4 others whilst there was an empty dorm room of 5. Very odd place

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our 2nd stay here; and, still love it. Arrived early by motorcycle in persistent rain from ChCh to find the log burner going, and our room was ready. Helmets and gloves drying by fire as I write and we are in dry clothes again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice clean place and closer to town, everything is walking distance from here. The owner James, is very accommodating. We came here after getting off the trail with a hitch to recover our feet and we got a good deal and stayed for a few nights. The place is a nice fireplace, tv longe with Netflix, wifi and other amenities you need when you are travelling. Will come here and stay again when we are in Hamner Springs.
