★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Organised a trip for a few family members. They really enjoyed the experience and commented that the location was incredible and staff very friendly. One area they thought could be improved was looking into ways to discourage the horses from stopping and eating grass so often. Overall well worth it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I bought a coupon for 4 people on treatme last year but finally did it this afternoon (due to our arrangements, and an extra 20 nzd pp for summer season). One of us rode a horse before but the rest didn't. The gravel road to heavenly adventure is nearly 12 km. The trek is 2 hours as listed in the ad and the view is gorgeous. However, we had barely any conversation with the host Georgie. It seems that she did not feel like talking to us. In the end, when we came back to the stable, she came to my horse and ask for rope, nobody told me where the rope is and what for, but when I showed my confusion, she got angry and asked me "Do you understand English?" I can hardly feel any hospitality from the host, and will never go there again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely gorgeous and remote area for those wanting digital detox and feel of farm life. The owner's are incredibly friendly and helpful and tailored the horse treks to capability of the group. The horses are very well cared for and are calm sure-footed rides.
Accomodation is warm clean and high quality with the welcome hot shower after a day riding.
I definitely recommend and will be back

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful trek with Georgie and her beautiful horses, they are very well trained and responsive to a gentle tug of the reins. We trekked for 2 hours up and down hills on their farm along lovely bush tracks accompanied by the 3 friendly dogs. Would definately go again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to do a horse trek and get a look at the local area. This place is a bit of a drive, but it's worth it for the fantastic farmland and rivers you see, as well as lots of native bush.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We made a an impromptu decision to book at Heavely Horse rides for the weekend. Georgia was great in responding quickly to our email. The Ritz where the 2 of us stayed is a beautifully re-architected woolshed that was super comfortable. Nice having friendly horses grazing around the house. And a lovely lunch spot by the river just across the road. We took a ride out to the beach to see the amazing White Rock and did a nice bike ride. The next day we did a very enjoyable 2 hour horse trek into the hills and back along the river. Ben and Georgia were great in getting us organised with the horses, and Georgia was a very friendly guide on our ride; giving us lots of information. Definitely a fantastic weekend and worth the windy dustry ride to get there. Highly recommend it.
