★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spectacular, with a nice little walk through the forest on a loop track. Was just after some heavy rain so wasn't blue like in the brochures, still epic. Don't forget the insect repellent

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The colours are surreal! Can’t believe this piece of nature exists! Very far from the Hokitika township, but well worth the drive. The walk itself is easy, though we did not do the loop as we were in a hurry.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Some of the most beautiful scenery I have seen. Did the Loop walk and so impressed with how much time and money has been put in to the swing bridges, tracks and platforms. Even old, unfit me managed it, and would do it again. Just stunning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The experience I had here was incredible. I have been here several times and each time it is as good as the last. I highly recommend going here, and the water, although cold, is nice to swim in at a certain spot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful wee walk with absolutely stunning views and bush. Swing bridge is a little bit scary if you’re not a fan of heights like me! A must-do in Hokitika.

there are A LOT of SANDFLIES
Make sure you take INSECT REPELLENT
Or wear long pants/long sleeves
Trust me, you will thank me later
Other than that the track is a loop and takes about 1 hour or less and its very easy stroll but definitely not wheelchair accessible unless you want to try it?
There are many viewing decks and the walkway is newly built and well maintained.
The highlight of this track are the 2 swing bridges and the turquoise river but its also has amazing native trees and plants that brings you closer to nature

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful gorge with amazing turquoise colour water. You can do a small walk around the gorge on either side under 1 hour. Its worth the drive from the town. The highlight of the walks are different suspension bridge and the water.
You can actually take a dip in the gorge but just be careful as the currents are strong.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently updated walk, now a loop. Beautiful spot to visit and walk around. Even on a cloudy day the water is so blue. Plenty of spaces to park. Recommend walking from the end of the track to the front to leave you with the main views and bridges at the end of your walk!
