★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely friendly and professional staff. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. The beds turned down each night. Breakfast we as fantastic and had outside on a stunning Auckland morning. The hors d'oeuvres were well appreciated at 5.00pm each evening, and it was great to chat with other guests. Well done to all at the Fitzroy a fine hotel thank you

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great stay for 2 nights over the Anzac Day weekend. The room, breakfast and property were all 5 star but what made it even more special were Sarah and the rest of the Team who ensured we had a great stay. We really enjoyed the evening drinks in the cozy library and followed that with a short walk to some excellent Ponsonby eateries. We look forward to returning!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were here to catch up with friends that we hadn’t caught up with for quite a while with all the lock downs etc. Drinks at 5pm was a great way to start the evening and the excellent location leant to an easy walk to a large selection of restaurants. We would recommend something but everything we had was amazing.
A beautiful room and the most comfortable bed meant a good nights sleep, then you wake up to a delicious breakfast that has everything you could want or need. Our thanks to the chefs.
The staff are wonderful, shout out to Sarah and Tony for elevating our experience and going above and beyond. We had to shoot back home to work both days and they kept a plate of canapé for us even though we were a little bit late back. Incredibly thoughtful, felt like we were missed.
We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Last minute we decided to stay at a Hotel when we arrived in Auckland. We managed to book the last two remaining rooms we went with another couple. We arrived a few hours after booking, and we were completely blown away. Steven was a friendly host who made sure we felt comfortable and welcomed, we were shown to our room and it was just amazing, the level of detail was shown in the rooms, down to the shampoo and conditioner, that was curated for us. We really apprecaited our stay it was stress free, and beautiful. We were only meant to stay one night, but we decided to stay two, and they were able to add another night on for us no worries at all. Both mornings we received a complimentary breakfast, which so devine and jsut perfect! All in all, a fabulous stay, recommend to all and we will be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed at Hotel Fitzroy to welcome in 2022 and it was INCREDIBLE. The hotel is beautiful, flawlessly clean and styled to perfection. All of the extra touches almost seem too good to be true, but they are! From tea on arrival, complimentary minbar, drinks and hors d'oeuvres from 5pm to the in room breakfast service. Everything is delicious - we highly recommend the creamy mushrooms! If you are hesitating to book staying here due to price, we more than got our moneys worth through all of the amazing things included in the stay.
The absolute highlight of our stay had to be Steven - what a superstar! So welcoming, friendly and just the best example of premium service! Thank you Steven, Chloe and team for making our stay and start to 2022 unforgettable!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed at Hotel Fitzroy the night of our wedding. It was nice but we thought it really wasn't that amazing and actually wish we chose the other hotel we were thinking of going with.
The staff are friendly and helpful but the person who helped us didn't seem like they knew what they were doing and seemed a bit awkward.
We arrived later at night (after our wedding) and the front gate was locked so we stood outside with all our bags and called to ask if there was someone there to let us in. They came out but didn't know how to open the gate (which is fine, it was just a bit strange as we were just standing there waiting). They couldn't open the gate so asked us to go around to the back gate...
Once inside they sat us down and gave us cold tea and a biscuit when we really just wanted to go to our room. Once showed to our room they showed us around the room (pointed out the bathroom and a few other things) which we really didn't think was necessary and again, felt weird.
Breakfast was okay, the effort was there but it was a bit cold and the lemon curd took away from it.
All in all, this hotel tried to make it personal but it just felt awkward to us. Perhaps we just aren't the kind of people who appreciates that kind of service or maybe our expectations were too high, we just don't feel like what we got was worth what we paid.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My best friend and I stayed one night at Hotel Fitzroy and we both love this accommodation so much that we already discussed when we would like to visit again. The evening catch up was very special and we had fun chatting with other guests. Food, beverage and snacks were so generous. Sarah and all the lovely staff provided the nice environment and the best service. Our breakfast was amazing as they offered good variety of food. The location of Hotel Fitzroy is close to Ponsonby Central and we enjoyed our walk around Ponsonby. We highly recommend Hotel Fitzroy curated by Fable️️️️️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Everything was so perfect ?
