Clean. Interesting. Could spend a lot of time in here over and above the necessary time needed. Very clever. I love the way the township has carried on the theme.

I don't usually review public toilets but for this one I'll make an exception. The Hundertwasser Public Toilets are an Iconic artistic land mark situated in the small but lively town of Kawakawa in the far north of New Zealand. The toilets were completed in 1999 by the renowned Austrian/New Zealand artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser, who resided near Kawakawa from 1975 until his death in the year 2000 aged 71. These Toilets are an absolute delight to behold, so if you ever find yourself going through Kawakawa and even if you don't have to "go" I would give this public toilet a look.

Fortunate enough to visit when there were few other tourists. Spectacular public toilets of the highest order. Definitely worth a visit.

You have to see them to really appreciate their beauty. Quirky, colorful and very kiwiana. I loved how they were built around the tree.

Amazing place to visit! So creative with glass and mosaics everywhere. Was a bit smelly a couple of days ago but much better on second visit. Looks like it had been recently cleaned. Lots of toilet paper, good smelling soap. Functional and cool at the same time.

Gorgeous, though situated bang in the middle of a main road. It certainly was an interesting experience! Like every other public toilet in New Zealand it was a pleasure to visit. It looks so plain from the outside, but what a wonderful world of magic inside!
