Went with a group of 4 in June 2021 and we were the only ones in our tour group. The tour went for around 45min, it was very informative especially about the glow worm life cycle, with some great local history included. The cave entrance is really cool and the glow worms are spectacular! The tour operator expressed that in pre-covid times some days had up to 1000 people going through the caves and now post-covid (since having a long break) the glowworms coverage of this cave system has intensified and that the tour operators have made changes to their operations to ensure the glow worms continue to flourish. I did find the tour a little expensive at $40 per person, I would think $30 would reflect better value.

Spectacular place, well worth a visit. The guides are knowledgeable and friendly and the caves are really beautiful. Not a hard treck at all and something the whole family can enjoy.

What a place! You HAVE to stop here. Great experience for the whole family. The kaitiaki take their job/life very seriously and do a fantastic job of not only showing you the cave, but also explaining the history of the family and area. We really enjoyed it and would recommend it above ANY other glowworm cave in NZ! Even good caravan parking! Like if helpful!

Very enjoyable guided tour through the glow worm caves this morning with a very friendly guide who is very passionate and knowledgeable about her job and the glow worms. These caves are well maintained and well worth stopping by when you are up this way. We enjoyed the bush walk before our tour with the dog "Sun" who knew exactly where to go. Thankyou for a great morning

This place is good but not everyone knows about the truth,we went to this place but came back after knowing the truth, the rocks are active at 6 o'clock, someone told us the story but good to know the fact.but I don't want to share publicly.

Was a great experience, guide was very friendly. We got to see glow worms millimetres away which I have never seen one up close before, they are longer than I imagined! It is a Family owned business, we had a private tour. Best to call and get the cellphone number and text them for a booking.
