β β β β β I was so excited to taste the Maori Japanese fusion food... definitely taste the Japanese but sadly the Maori was missing... pork bone broth was all broth and no pork bone taste. The apple mocktail tasted like flowers. Staff also tried to charge us for drinks we never had

β β β β β This was a delicious meal, the ramen was absolutely amazing. It had a mild kick to it which was nice. It also had some thicker noodles which is nice to see. The entrees were very tasty and the twist of MΔori and Japanese was interesting but the two worked well together. The place itβs self was in the new part of Bayfair which is done very nicely and the decor inside the restaurant managed to flow with the outside. The food also came very quickly and the staff were very prompt which is nice to see. Very nice evening out.

β β β β β Words do not begin to explain how amazing this food was. We came for lunch and spent $65 p/h to try a bit of everything. The food was beautifully presented. The flavours were on point. The staff were attentive without being over the top. We will be back.

β β β β β Monday night is a real treat and a variety of flavors. The taste buds started to tingle. Each of us had an Okonomiyaki, the most amazing smoked fish and roe, and an amazing Katsu broccoli on sour plum cream. In the end, I ate mochi ice cream, which is ice cream in thick stewed buns-great.
This is a must visit restaurant, whether it's the incredible flavor or the friendly team.
Thank you for a wonderful dinner night

β β β β β Friendly staffs and nice atmosphere.
For foods, be honest, i was expected more like Japanese fusion style. But it wasnt really like that.
It wasnt amazingly tasty but good. However, for a main, our menu was very small portions but expensive. The octopus starter was ok though

β β β β β I wanted to love this place, but it was just ok. The ambiance is warm and calm, the menu reads well, the insta photos are attractiveβ¦and the food? Just ok. Certain elements were great (the pork belly slices were juicy, tender mouthfuls), others were lacking (the ramen egg noodles tasted like instant noodles). The beef tataki was bland and $25 for 6 gyoza is ambitious. All dishes were presented beautifully.

β β β β β Fantastic Japanese & Maori fusion food and staff (the fusion mainly relates to the food rather than the staff) . A good selection of spirits and wines too. We had a great night here watching the world go by from one of their high tables. We had a good view of the chefs having a good view of us watching to see if they were watching us eat their delicious dishes ?. Thank you to all.

β β β β β Amazing experience had the $60 a head option where they bring out different options from the menu and just thoroughly enjoyed all the food and the whole taste experience. Amazing service and just a great night of food. Excellent fusion Maori and Japanese kai. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Bay of plenty.
