★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Johanneshof is a Must Visit whenever we're in the area. Apart from the lovely location and unusual, impressive cellar, the wines are the true stars. This winemaker goes to extra lengths, including ageing their wines properly, and it really makes all the difference. It's hard to pick out just one wine, but their Gewürztraminer is seriously one of the very best, anywhere. And for a special treat, try their New Dawn sparkling Rosé.
