Jumpers Taupo has been offering luxury NZ made Possum Merino knitwear to visitors and locals alike since 1993. More recently we've reached out to the world with our online store offering jumpers, cardigans and accessories including hats, scarves, gloves and socks. A sustainable product proudly made right here in New Zealand.
Merino and Possum
Our collection includes garments made with pure, extra fine merino wool and possum yarn. Merino wool is spun into super soft yarn that's ideally suited to luxury knitwear and possum yarn is exceptionally light and warm. Together, these yarns combine to create exceptional, luxurious garments for you.
Taupo, Our Home
Taupo is an iconic lakeside town in the centre of New Zealand's North Island, famous for snow covered mountains and world-renowned trout fishing rivers, including the legendary Tongariro River.
NZ place names often tell a story from history or ancient mythology. The word Taupo means a cloak made from natural fibres and refers to the cloak of Tia, a Polynesian Chief, navigator and explorer who discovered the Lake over six centuries ago.
Taupo's natural beauty and wealth of outdoor and adventure activities make it a very popular destination for visitors from NZ and the world over.
