There was glass and rubbish from inconsiderate people, but it was still worth the trip at the end of the day.

What can i say. This place is mean. One year a group of about 20 of us had nothing to do for new years so we cut the chain and camped out for the night only to have had one of the meanest new years in my early 20's. I even managed to catch an eel in the stream which was highly surprising. Oh yeah and it has nice scenery if thats what your into.

Needs some TLC, a bit of rubbish around, otherwise nice spot though. Not great for swimming.

Nice place to camp and enjoy your stay as you can camp or fish or go up to all of the mountain biking trails and hiking trails next to the hills. Please do not make the same mistake we made, the walking and biking trails are up the road about 3k. The place has BBQs (wood burning BBQ) The toilets are a bit unclean it just depends on when you come they might get cleaned. Fires are allowed. Tents are allowed. Campervans are allowed. Fishing is allowed. There is a toilet. You are only allowed to stay three night maximum. For more info about this place go to the website (palmy council website)

Hidden gem. Ideal camping spot as a base for nearby mountain bike and walking tracks in the Arapuke forest. Fixed wood fired bbq’s and modern composting toilet. Lower carpark ideal for camping by the river in a vehicle or a tent on grass reserve next to the upper carpark. Camp fires allowed. 2 quiet nights here with a couple of other campers each night. Great night sky on a clear night Definitely stay here again.
