10 to 15 minutes walk to the colony. Easy but should watch your steps and be aware of some dead birds and seals. A must visit in Kaikoura.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice walk tracks. Friendly seals. You will need a proper footwear to walk on the seabed as some part of it is a trip hazard. There is a clean toilet facility here. Plenty of parking right in front where the seals rest. I recommend going up to the viewpoint at the top of the hill via the walkway.
