Lovely experience with passionate people running the trains,so well worth going out on a Sunday during operating hours to take the kids for a ride. Rides are relatively inexpensive, free for really young kids, and also surprisingly quite long. Also able to buy many more rides for a discount, so everyone in the family can have a go,twice.

Always well managed and fun. We also love the splash pad at the park. It's very good for all ages during the hot weather.

Good length ride with tunnels, bridges and points, a range of engines to tow the riding carriages. A number of trains operating at the same time mean the wait isn't very long. Gardens and scenery are all to a high standard, Drivers and operators obviously enjoy their service to the community.

The miniature train is so much fun. I took my care babies on the train when we attended a Porse get together, so its very safe. The drivers were both so nice too. It's right next to a great park, and the beach.

This railway was awesome! Great for littlies, or anyone young or old. Only $1.50 per ride or multiple rides for cheaper per ride. Great way to top off a day out having a picnic.

The most amazing time ever. I walked from the Paraparaumu metlink station to this place via a walking trail which is beautiful in itself. This was with my 5 year old. The long walk was well worth it to the miniature train park which also doubles as a nice children's park and beach area as well. The miniature trains are better than the one at Palmerston though the Palmerston layout is bigger. There are 5 different locomotive types and one being a functional little steam engine. Just amazing. Joy unlimited at this place. More so if you are train buff, which I am and my son.

Great fun day out when the trains are running. Awesome for little kids and parents. Definitely one of the more elaborate layouts I've seen. Plus the playground and gardens are right there once you have finished your ride.

Held our son's 2nd birthday party here. It was wonderful, he loved every minute. We hired a train by arrangement on a day they don't normally run, which worked well as it let the birthday boy just keep going round and round as our other guests hopped on and off each run. As of May 2022 $100 for one train for one hour, $150 for two trains. Highly recommended!
