★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice friendly pub with a park over property for nzmca members. We had a good pub feed, a couple of beers a s a safe place to stay with a view to the Kahurangi. Cheers team!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Room too hot and stuffy. Not even a fan. At $150 a night, a fan or heat pump is in order. Also, no soap to even wash hands after toilet. Key got stuck in door, hard to lock and unlock.
Decor very dated eg brown vinyl on bathroom walls, TV plonked on top of microwave.
But at least it was spacious, clean and quiet with fast and easy and friendly check-in.

$32 For one whitebait pattie is criminal. Especially when the picture of the meal shows two Patties.
No restrictions on mask wearing ?
Very dated, with young teenagers doing the serving. Probably won't return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The takeaway food is really good, and very reasonably priced. Eating in there’s a good variety on the menu, and the servings are plentiful. There’s a small pokie room and a good sized bar area. The restroom facilities are very clean and nicely laid out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Room was dated but adequate. Water from the tap not that great (brown from a bore we reckon). Where they shone was the evening meal. Simple but tasty. The desserts (chocolate brownie and sticky date pudding) were epic.
