★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a beautiful space for a casual walk, camping, barbecuing, family play. The natural bush is cool and peaceful though not wheelchair accessible. The sound of native birdsong is beautiful and the native flora is a perfect environment for exploring, learning and playing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really nice and acecable to stunning bush walks, this Doc campsite is basic only one lady and man's toilet and a great shelter with massive table but no other facilities... But is great for the real kiwi camping experience as the huge trees are amazing. We saw longtail cockoo and the kereru, right by our van. Loop walk nice and easy hours walk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice campsite. Has toilets. Beautiful forest. Nice to hear the birds till very late at night. Costs $8 per might per person.
Only downside...it gets VERY windy. I had an interesting time taking down my tarp.
