★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the best campsite in Arthur's Pass, a great view out to the mountains is such a delight in the morning. The land is flat enough for campervan and plenty of grass for tents. It has a longdrop that doesn't smell too bad by longdrop standards, just remember to bring your toilet roll. This was our favourite place in the whole of New Zealand and can't wait to come back again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Only a thin layer of dirt with a lot of rocks underneath so it's hard to pitch a tent. Lots of space, toilet on site and scenic with beach forests and surrounded by mountains.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Safe campsite but very close to the main road which makes it quite noisy even during night. However, very close to Arthur's pass village. Good facilities but no showers. Don't forget sandflies. However, it wasnt that bad or aggressive compared to otyer parts of The South Island. One star off because of the noise and smelly toilet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a great stop over if you're late traveling between Canterbury and the coast, you will need a self contained vehicle,there is a porter loo if you're desperate, however it's buetiful to wake up listening to the river and the bird song.
