★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you want to experience the geothermal activity in Rotorua without paying tourist prices this park is a great place to visit (and free). There's also a market nearby on Saturday mornings. Everything is setup for safety but still available to see. It also includes a hot water foot bath available as well. ??

Lots of boiling mud, lakes and steaming rocks!
Fantastic experience and even better that it is free to just wander around. Pet friendly but make sure they are in a leash as this place has plenty of natural (very hot) hazards.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to experience Rotorua's thermal activity for free. We walked around bubbling mud pools, dipped our feet in the mineral pools pavillion. There are bbqs, picnic tables and lots of trees for shade.
