★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well worth it, if you want to give your travel partners a good laugh at the look of horror and gasping for “good air”. Very sulfuric - but that stands to reason, as it is a natural hot spring. Is the 212 degree temperature in C or F?!?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very cool sulphuric spring, free of charge to view, and especially free of charge to smell. The stench of sulfur is almost identical to that of rotten eggs - horrible to smell but fun to watch your friends react. The water is amazingly clear and beautiful at the bottom of the spring. Definitely recommend swinging by to give it a look, especially since the drive around isnt too shabby.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In Government Gardens in Rotorua there is a place that is heavily sulfuric. It's the Rachel Pool, a historic round pool with alkaline spring water at temperatures of up to 212 ° F / 100 ° C.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stopped by Rachel Spring Whangapipiro in Rotorua as we saw some nice cottage building to take picture. We also walk around the hot spring area and it has strong smelly sulfur smell. We also able to spot some unique sculpture along the way. Nothing else is interesting in this are, just free view and smell on the natural hot spring.
