β β β β β What an amazing place...so beautiful...the view. A very clean and warm place to stay. Sweeping gardens with friendly host Jane. A lovely place for a rest...quiet walks without the hustle and bustle of Akaroa, views looking over harbour to hills. Spacious, lovely design.

β β β β β A stunning house in a beautiful location. The very best B&B we have ever stayed in and the highest quality of care. Even on cruise ships I have never had a breakfast as good as Jane's

β β β β β Such a beautiful place to stay!!
Jane is super nice and she is powerfully handle the place by her own.
Everything is beautifully decorated, including the interior and garden. Many different kinds of flowers and veggies and chickens walk around.
Kitchen is well equipped with simple breakfast prepared.
Love the place and nightly recommended to check in early to enjoy or even stays for more nights.

β β β β β As our this was our first time in Akaroa, we booked online to stay at L'Abri. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome by Jane and nothing was too much trouble. The elevated property has fantastic views of Takamatua Bay and beyond and is surrounded by the colourful gardens. Our room was very comfortable, clean and the homemade walnut cookies and fresh coffee were truly delicious. We also enjoyed Jane's delicious breakfast. We would like to thank you Jane for making our stay so enjoyable and really do hope to return before long to explore more of this breathtaking area.

β β β β β Jane is the most hospitable and wonderful host. The cottage we stayed in was set amongst Jane's gorgeous garden. The cottage itself was so cosy, warm and has everything you need for a truly relaxing and self contained stay. Jane's little touches really made it special as well; her floral arrangements in the room through to her delectable home baking. The breakfast was of gourmet standard! It was set on the dining room table up in the main house with the most stunning view of mountains and the water. This truly was a magical stay and we will definitely be back for another break.

β β β β β Beautiful views, all you need facilty-wise and close enough to the bay to go for a nice walk or bike ride.
Close enough to Akaroa and other places of interest.
The most amazing breakfast, made from produce grown on the premise. Everything, from the room to the food, is prepared with a personal touch and thoughtfulness. We highly recommend L'Abri. Will definitely be back first chance we get!
Thank you for making our stay so special.

β β β β β L'Abri is an absolute gem. The rooms and shared spaces are absolutely gorgeous and extremely comfortable. I stayed at L'Abri over a weekend of torrential rain, and was happy to sit by the woodfire, taking in the superb views. Jane is a consummate host and went above and beyond to make my stay so enjoyable. ( I appreciated the extra treats she left in the room to augment my afternoon cup of tea:) The breakfasts are fresh and fabulous. I can hardly wait to return!
