★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Cloche is my favourite cafe in all of Wellington and the perfect way to start the day. Bright and sunny and open, with delicious food and tremendous coffees are all a part of it. But it’s the people here that make it the best. Friendly, welcoming, and coffee and food lovers themselves, they give it a great atmosphere and make you feel at home. Favourite foods are the croque monsieur, pain au raisin, and croissant. First tried a piccolo here and it’s my coffee style of choice now, it lets the coffee taste shine with a bit of milk to soften it and for extra flavour. Their tea selection is really good too, served by the pot. Thanks for a great week back in Wellington for me, La Cloche, sadly I must return to Auckland now. I will miss you until next time.
