★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most picturesque places I've ever seen. A beautiful turquoise lake with the magnificent Mt Cook in the background! And there just happened to be baby pinecones too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredible view. Must do road stop. Light blue water of the glacier-fed lake Pukaki. If you go a bit to the right on the shore, you will escape all other people and have the views to yourself. And there are trees that add to the view.
So glad we stopped there. After a few hours of driving from Christchurch, this lake looked heavenly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This lake is out of the world. I was mindblown pretty much the first time and all the times I saw this lake. Definitely needs a clear sunny day to bring the best out of this lake. Be ready to take some stunning pictures which is not found anywhere in the world. Try to go to different view points to get different equally amazing views!

Such a peaceful and calm place to just sit and bask in the natural beauty. If you are near here then you absolutely cannot miss out on stopping here even if it is just for a few minutes, you will not regret it!
