★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed for 6 nights unpowered site mid-January. Wasn't too busy then, although plenty of caravans around most unoccupied during the week. We found it a good base for the area and facilities were good. No view from tent sites but only a short walk to lake which was good for swimming and provided beautiful sunrise and sunset views. Was pretty dusty in dry weather, and puddled after it rained.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in a cabin with our 3 children in early December. Thankfully, we rang ahead to check what equipment was provided in the kitchen, which in nothing! Not even a tea towel. So I got some tinfoil trays to cook our food in. There were some young men, who arrived after us, who weren't so fortunate. They had no way of cooking their sausages so I gave them one of my trays to use. We rented a kitchen pack so we could have some plates and utensils but they only gave us 4 sets of everything for our family of 5. It was a long way back to the office to get another set so we just made do. The park had a very strange vibe. It was huge! But jam packed with old caravans and tents, and the paths to the facilities were rough and muddy, which made going to the toilet in the night very unpleasant. The cabin was nice and clean but it had some strange features like jacket hooks in front of the TV. Such a shame that we can't write a better review as the lady in the office was nice to deal with. But it wasn't good value for money, unfortunately.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful spot and a very tidy campground. Awesome service from the staff. We stayed in a cabin which was warm and the bed was comfortable. We also got towels provided. Only downer was no milk, cups or cutlery. Will be better prepared next time.
