About Lakes Pharmacy
Hi! Our names are Jason Chooi and Grace Ling.
Thanks for your interest in Lakes Pharmacy.
We’ve been a couple since pharmacy school at Otago University, how cute is that?!
We both graduated as pharmacists in 2001/2002 and since then we have worked in pharmacies in England (The Royal Bournemouth Hospital, Dorset), Auckland, Hamilton, Te Puke and Tauranga.
We settled in Tauranga 2007 and we loooove living here.
We have been wanting to open our own pharmacy for along time and we’re so happy to be able to do so here in Pyes Pa in November 2015. Yay!
All pharmacies will tell you that they emphasise customers and patients as their priority.
And many of them innovate and make the best use of the latest technology as we do.
But what makes us special is love.
We love helping you. We love to have a bit of fun. And we love to ease your pain, your suffering and get you back on the road to recovery.

The staff are very professional have a lot of product knowledge and a very understanding to your needs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the women here was extremely rude. I was told by the pleasant woman to fill out my parcel label and then bring it back to be tracked. As I was filling it out, two others came into the pharmacy so I waited to get it tracked. The other woman, while serving another customer snapped at me to leave the parcel in the basket. I told her I had been told to wait to get back it scanned. She rolled her eyes at me, raised her voice and snapped that there was a two person limit in the shop so I needed to “just put it on the basket and leave”. I told her I was in there before the other two customers so hadn’t actually done anything wrong - but she raised her voice again so I left. This was all for the whole shop to hear. I don’t even know if they tracked my parcel in the end. This has been by far the worst service I have seen. No excuses. This woman needs to go - she should not be interacting with customers.

The dark hair lady is rude and very very abrupt, almost like you are a inconvenience in the store.
Draconian rules regarding covid.
I was in the store to post a parcel, I was told I had to fill out the details on the bag outside, I asked why, she stated that there is to be only two people in the store said well we ate fine as it was only me, nope not good enough.
She also screamed at me to wear a mask, I replied that I had an exemtion, she said it's not valid in her store.i showed it to her, she stated it's meaningless and was invalid.
Anyway she was rude beyond words and stood there and argued point blank.
Shocking customer service, she should not be allowed to work in a service role as she's very unpleasant.
Only gave them 1 star as I had to
But it's minus 5 stars.
