★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easy 3.5 hour walk in rough weather for an inexperienced hiker. Expect to get wet boots in the winter.
Take everything the DOC website says you should.
I found the walk in and out to be easy to follow in the dark and rain.
Take a hand saw to help gather wood for the next visitors.
