★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a huge fan of Tolkien’s work and Peter Jackson’s visions of the world of Middle-earth, this tour was everything and more.
The filming locations were gorgeous, and were compared with photos from the film. Suzie was excellent and went above and beyond just the Hobbit tour and explained the geography, nature and farm life that she has the luck to call her backyard.
Awesome photo opportunities, not just the scenery but including with proper sword props.
Even if you are not a fan of the films, you will love this tour purely for experiencing the beauty of New Zealand.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a fantastic tour. Suzie was so lovely and knowledgable. We have 3 children ages 3-7 who had a great time as well. This tour far exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend to any fans of The Hobbit or wanting to see some beautiful New Zealand cliffs and scenery. Suzie gives you time to reenact and take photos of particular scenes from the movie. Obviously a lot of time and effort has gone into making this tour something to remember.

Suzie did an excellent job of explaining the making of various scenes and showing us around the amazing farm. Not cheap, but considering the family efforts to make the tour work, really worth the visit.

Her family farm has so many stories and you can tell how proud she is to share her home and property with those who love The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. We were made to feel like old friends the minute we walked in the door. Would absolutely recommend, and wish the best for her going forward!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommend this amazing tour!! The filming location was breathtaking, photos with the props make you look cool as, and the highlight is Suzie's great banter and behind the scenes knowledge. Plus you surprising learn lots of farm life and geology :) 100% worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Suzie was so friendly and knew so much about the hobbit film. The land is still a working farm and you can tell that Suzie still wants to keep the land clean and beautiful. Groups are 5 maximum which means a very personal experience. We got to mimic the shots filmed in the same location and the farm land is just breathtaking. One of my favorite experiebces of my North Island trip

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best tour guide I've ever been... Suzie is amazing person, so cheerful, happy to help, share stories from filming or even from chatting with the cast. The farm is like from another world... You are in middle of farm, surrounded by mountains and few steps in different direction and you're in middle of the fantasy forest, few steps from there and you're on the grass field... When someone says New Zealand, this place is what I imagine. It looks beautiful, it looks abandoned and still occupied. The place is peaceful and it just whispers to your soul. I wish I could stay here longer and just walk here for hours... Ohh and did I mention wild goats?
It definitely is worth it, even if you're not fan of Hobbit, the scenery is just breathtaking, like Keanu would say.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was the first official Lord of the Rings Hobbit site we've been to in New Zealand in August of 2016. The following day we got married in hobbiton. And this tour what's a great start to all. Our tour guide was amazing and new quite a lot of information about the movies and the area and cool stories.
We had an absolute awesome time on this tour the scenery was unbelievable just the idea of stepping on the area and being where the actress stood was amazing alone. Absolutely highly recommend this tour anyone.
