The company was founded in Lower Hutt in 1944, and today is based at Ngauranga Gorge, with its Wellington showroom, Warehouse, and Manufacturing facility. Lewis’s is rather unique being vertically integrated and operates its own Sales, Manufacturing, Installation, and Fabric design and importing businesses. SHOWROOM DESIGNER

If you have a passion for interior design and beautiful home furnishings, then join us in this exciting and vital full-time sales role in our Wellington showroom. You will have strong experience working with clients to assist them with their decorating goals. We are looking for strong communication skills, ability to multitask and manage priorities, a confident and friendly manner, an eye for good design, and a real passion for furniture, home furnishings, and wallpaper. We provide a full induction as well as ongoing product training and support to help you as an expert designer in this role. You must have NZ residency or a valid work visa and a driver’s licence.

GRADUATE DESIGNER

If you have a passion for interior design and beautiful home furnishings, then join us in this new full-time sales role in our Wellington showroom. You will have good communication skills as you work with our clients to assist them with their decorating goals. You may be a recent graduate looking for the first step in a creative career in New Zealand. We are looking for someone with the ability to multitask and manage priorities, a confident and friendly manner, an eye for good design, and a real passion for furniture, home furnishings, and wallpaper. Experience in a similar industry is not necessary as we provide a full induction, as well as ongoing product training and support to help you in this role. You must have NZ residency or a valid work visa and a driver’s licence.

IN-HOME DESIGNER

If you are an experienced designer looking for the next challenge, then join our In-Home design team based in the Wellington area. Working with clients in their own homes means there is the opportunity to get to know your client, their style, their budget, and their home requirements and develop a strong rapport. We are looking for strong communication and administration skills, ability to multitask and manage priorities, a good ability to work independently, confident driving skills, a confident and friendly manner, and a real passion for home furnishings. We provide a company vehicle, along with a full induction, ongoing product training and support to help you as an expert designer in this role. You must have NZ residency or a valid work visa as well as a driver’s licence.

CURTAIN & BLIND INSTALLER - KAPITI

If you are looking for a new role in an exciting creative industry, then join our Kapiti-based team as a full or part time curtain and blind installer. Experience in a similar role is not necessary, but a commitment and willingness to learn a new and specialist trade. We are looking for a confident individual with good communication skills, an ability to work independently and as a part of a motivated team, confident driving skills, a professional and friendly manner, and a good eye for detail. We provide full training and induction, company vehicle, health and safety certifications, ongoing training and support in this role. You must have NZ residency or a valid work visa as well as a driver’s licence. This may be ideal for a parent ready to return to the work force, who could work in the Kapiti area until 3pm.

CURTAIN & BLIND INSTALLER - WELLINGTON

If you are an experienced curtain and blind installer, then join our Wellington-based team. You will have had relevant experience in a similar role, measuring and installing bespoke curtains and blinds in private homes. We are looking for a confident individual with good communication skills, a good ability to work independently and as a part of a team, confident driving skills, a professional and friendly manner, and a good eye for detail. We provide a company vehicle, along with a full induction, health and safety certifications, ongoing training, and support in this role. You must have NZ residency or a valid work visa as well as a full, clean driver’s licence.

CURTAIN & BLIND INSTALLER TRAINEE

If you are looking for a new role in an exciting creative industry, then join our Wellington-based team of curtain and blind installers. Experience in a similar role is not necessary, but a commitment and willingness to learn a new and specialist trade. We are looking for a confident individual with good communication skills, an ability to work independently and as a part of a motivated team, confident driving skills, a professional and friendly manner, and a good eye for detail. We provide full training and induction, health and safety certifications, ongoing training with a senior installer and support in this role. You must have NZ residency or a valid work visa as well as a driver’s licence.

WAREHOUSE POSITION

We have a full-time Warehouse position, working at Lewis's production facility at Ngauranga, Wellington. We are looking for an enthusiastic person who enjoys working in a busy environment and can bring a positive approach to working with a team. You will be responsible for the management of logistical requirements in running a warehouse, improving warehouse performance, inwards goods and stock management, and ensuring Health & Safety performance is integrated into all aspects of warehouse activities. You must have NZ residency or a valid work visa and a driver’s licence.
