★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place has been a local staple for going on 4 decades (prior tenancy was a butcher), current owners are doing well and have a solid patronage based on home cut chips fried in a beef talow (traditional fish and chips).
You can get an honest Kiwi style burger, and a variety of deep fried goods from the menu.
Do try the speciality caught fish either crumbed or batter as cooked to order.

Came here not long ago for the first time and ordered their garlic butter chips, hotdog, fish, and meatpattie, and all I have to say is that it was amazing! Prices of the food are very affordable for a meal that is enough to fill up your tummies as well! I recommend their garlic butter chips if you ever consider ordering here, the hot butter just melts nicely in ur mouth which you get a burst of flavourful garlic taste as you bite down onto the soft, crispy, hot chips.
