★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In 2011, I bought a cheap, chinese motorcycle jacket, which I wore for 6 years. Being a bottom of the line jacket, it didn't take long for buttons, zip and velcros to deteriorate and fail. I tolerated the failures for 3 years, then in 2017, I decided to replace main, heavy duty zip and sleeve velcros. Immediately, I have noticed the difference in quality of function of these repairs. The zip is now strong and very reliable, and the velcros are gripping better than new. I recommend Looksmart Alterations to all customers looking for quality clothing repair/alteration work. I've used them previously, but am now totally convinced with their professional handiwork.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Get the pants shorten today at looksmart Hornby, I am here to share my experience. I bought pants and I get a voucher from Rodd and Gunn, it says $14.99 to shorten pants at looksmart Hornby. I went to looksmart Hornby and the lady who served me told me if I want to put the tap on i have to pay extra $24.90, I told her that's alright. But I checked the receipt it says original price is $33.90, I am assuming if I use the voucher as $14.90 and I am supposed to pay $19 difference, I went back to see the lady and she told me it's not working like I think, normally they don't do this discount, they are trying to be good guys that's why she gives me the discount! Ok, it's just $5.90 and I don't want to argue with her. When I went back to collect my pants the lady just finished with another lady and went to back room, obviously she saw me and she came back with my pants, put into a bag. I said "oh, it's already done!", she didn't say anything and just folding and put the pants into the bag, "thank you!", it's the only two words, I feel not welcomed and I am not going back again. It's not about the money, customer service is terrible and not recommend to other people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ From the moment I engaged with Looksmart in Hornby, it was a great experience, friendly and professional. Sita helped me and advise the 2 pair of pants will take approximately 2hours to shorten. After an hour she called me with the good news that the pants are ready. I was still in the area and it saved me time and money to collect the pants. Well done to Sita. Regards Foster

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Used these folks as they had been good previously. Unfortunately they're now using an email harvesting job logging system for one.
Also, after dropping in pants to be shortened with their one hour service I let them know I'd be back the next day. Unfortunately the job had not been completed as they'd lost the measurement as a result of the pin no longer being in place.
Despite having my mobile number, they decided to wait for me to come in for pickup to inform me of the problem.
Based on these issues, I can no longer recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jeans and skirt dropped in to them on Monday 7th Dec. Was told to pick up Friday afternoon. Got there 12.25 this afternoon and items were not ready. Girl said they were still on table not yet done. I drove in from Burnham, so wasn’t close by. I phoned the shop at approximately 4.15pm to ask if I could collect after work. Girl said no, probably better to collect on Saturday. Ummm, but you said Friday afternoon? Not impressed with this service. I hope my clothes will be ready for me tomorrow. Won’t be using the again. Thumbs down

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible customer service. My partner was getting a waistcoat resized and the lady kept making insults on his suit choice and his body shape. Very disgusting behavior and would not recommend. We went to the Riccarton one the next day and had a far better experience there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give 0 stars I would. The lady working was rude and made us to feel like an inconvenience.
The remarks made by the lady made me feel like I was overweight (which is something I am already self conscious about) and she was also rude about other customers needing alterations.
But apart from the rude customer service she did do a good job for what needed done
