Seriously disappointing, we made a booking for our family using first table and then when we turned up a very rude man told us they didn't have any bookings and no staff so they weren't going to open, when I showed him the booking confirmation and asked about the booking fee refund he said the owner would ring me that night - which they didn't bother to do... would all have been fine except he was incredibly rude to us, I will certainly never darken their doorstep again!

Has a lot of potential! Decor is nice and very comfortable seating (even at the bar, which is actually rare in Wellington). Bartenders are friendly, albeit a little green when it comes to mixing cocktails (but I'm sure with some time they will get better and has potential of getting a 5 star from me)

Nice little place with decent atmosphere. Cocktails had a good mix of flavours, I liked the From Russia with I ordered, nice coconut flavour. Cauliflower bites were deep fried nicely but undercooked in the middle. Mac n' cheese was good value for money but very rich. Curly fries (side to burger) didn't come with any sauce but were otherwise passable. ! Note on spice levels of chicken: The spice levels of the chicken burger have been dramatically exaggerated by some of the reviewers here. I got the Hatch (3rd most spicy level) which was a comparable spice to KFC Wicked Wings. So if you actually want a decent amount of spice, get the top level of spice, which the server suggested to me. My partner who got Chipotle (third level of spice, described as low to medium) had basically zero spice.

Second visit and I enjoyed being there a second time. It is cosy and friendly, however midweek and early is not busy. It gets busier later on when I would expect it to be a happening and cool place. Check out the inventive and exciting cocktails!

So nothing really went well on our little night there. The place was severely understaffed this Saturday night. Something happened with their supplier and nothing with chicken or fish was available on the menu (which I might add is most of the menu). It took about half an hour to get our order taken. We ordered a burger for my partner and three side/share plates between the two of us. One side came out at a time, with about 20 minutes in between each one. By the time the third one came out, we were already itching to leave because the food wasn't amazing and my partner hadn't gotten his meal yet. While this is happening, a couple of people setting up for the nights music begin taping up some cable to the wall, they reach us and just start working around my partner and I while we sit there, we ended up standing up and moving our table away from the wall so they could continue. The burger took another 30 minutes and we asked for it packed in a box so we could leave. Get home the burger was burnt and went in the bin anyway. Besides all that, the waiter/bartender was a charm and could have used more staff to help him out. The cocktail he made was awesome, and he gave us a discount because of the wait. I'm sure it was just a one off bad experience, but I'd be too scared to go back. Maybe it's not the place to get dinner for two.

The staff member was lovely, the food we did get was interesting and delicious, the drinks were very unusual mixtures of flavor, the music easy listening BUT sorry guys, the table was sticky and needed cleaning as was the floor. Dinner took way too long to arrive and 1 of the courses did not turn up so after an hour n 20 minutes, we said not to worry, paid and left.

Nice wee bar/restaurant with a decent selection of burgers with differing spice levels. Has quite a decent beer selection and plenty of cocktails. We got two burgers which were supposed to be mild spice and it ended up being quite hot that I couldn't finish it, which was a shame but maybe I just need to go milder. Has a pool table at the back too. The staff member who looked after us was super friendly too.
