★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful Taupo. We stayed here for 2 days and traveled to Mount Ruapehu from Taupo. The great lake gives you enough views and nature to relax and enjoy. Busy tourist place. Good market to roam around and plenty of food options available around. Taupo offers some great motels, resorts and homes to rent out for stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Taupo Tourist Spot #1 haha or at least it might as well be. Obviously always has people taking turns taking photos with the sign and the grand lake behind. There's some parking you might manage to find on the street right out front.
