The location could not have been better, an incredibly well-resourced, clean modern apartment, loved that we didn't have to book the spa, awesome view and garden to sit outside and enjoy, as well as super friendly, hospitable staff. We look forward to seeing you again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location - within walking distance to shops, restaurants, supermkt. Friendly, extremely helpful reception staff. Ika Nui used to be a Time Share so apartments are far better equipped than an average motel unit. Exceptionally clean & spacious & generous with towel supply! Contrary to a couple of other reviews as these comments concerned us before we made our booking - Ika Nui ONLY takes genuine paying guests. There are no Government Emergency housing tenants here & no contract to take them. The pool & spa are simply closed because they are indoors & covid restrictions require them to be closed. This should change very soon. There is also no insistence on paying by credit card & we had no problems paying by cash for our stay. Highly recommend & we would most definitely stay here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful place to stay with a family. The staff are lovely, very accommodating. We are a family of 7 and stayed very comfortably in a 2 bedroom ground floor unit. The unit was so well equipped, very spacious, clean and tidy. Definitely exceeded all our expectations. We stayed here with family members who were in other units and their feedback was the same as ours. Thank you ika nui for making our stay here so enjoyable. 5 star rating, well deserved

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Check-in and check-out was great. Awesome location with everything you need in the kitchen, bathroom, ensuite, living and dining rooms. Very tidy units. Indoor pool, plunge pool and spa were great too. Informative and friendly staff as well. We will definitely be back again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We spent a night here with family - group of 10 adults and 4 children, had a paid reservation for 3 apartments but because we checked in after hours, we had 6 keys on the safety box for 6 apartments for us all which we did take as we don’t know what is happening and no one to ask. Area is so clean and welcoming view as well as lake view at the front. To my surprise, I did pay for the additional 3 apartments which I disputed with Booking.com which I used to book our accommodation. The manager was spectacular by explaining to me they received 6 apartments booked under me. Booking.com came back to me that I should be reimbursed as it was not my fault, as of this moment still awaiting for one apartment left unpaid yet to my bank account. Overall the place is extraordinary, will definitely be back when we are in Taupo, highly recommended ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Clean, comfortable and well appointed. Ika Nui represents great value for money. Staff are friendly and helpful. We really appreciated the full kitchen, and the luxurious towels in the bathroom. High recommended, and will definitely stay again in the future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to stay especially if you pick the rooms with lake view for some extra bucks. Rooms are tidy and not so dated compared to what i expected from the photos. The two-bedroom is very spacious. Staffs at reception are very friendly. Hassle free check in and check out. Superb location. Very pleasant stay.
