★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got water taxi over, details for Mike available at Cathedral cafe/shop. He was super friendly and gave me sound advice. Also let me know if I needed longer to just text and let him know, lots of signal so no problem.
The walk itself was great. I did the circle track, 4 hours was just enough. Glad I went round clockwise as suggested on print out map Mike provided. Next time I'll definitely stay the night in hut for the full experience.
Truly amazing place, so tranquil and so much bird life.
