★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best, if not the best, surfing spots in New Zealand. The day was just ideal for surfing, I arrived around 9 and it was high tide, with more than 80 surfers trying to get their wave. It was really packed. Recommended to arrived as early as possible. Showers are provided, clean toilets and spectacular view. Worth watching and relaxing hearing the waves breaking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really nice place to stop and take a breath at. I had some fish and chips here just before sunset and was lucky enough to see some of the wildlife here, I saw two seals. Beautiful scenery here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place for a picnic with a beautiful view. There's only one toilet block which could be a it far depending on where you are. I did not go for a swim as there are lots of big rocks, so if you are not a surfer probably not the best place to go for a swim. There is not much shade so probably a good idea to bring a beach umbrella on a sunny day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here early morning, the road was busy with boats going out but managed to park before boat ramp. Small stair case to rocks and to some rock pools. Great for kids to discover crabs and sea weed and small fish - but ensure you go at low tide. Great views and recommend this place for a look
