★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome historic site. Great views across all directions of the harbour on a good day.
Take the family exploring the tunnels or just stroll the path around the point.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ooo the boy in me will always love old and creepily dark war tunnels and gun emplacements. This tip of Devonport / North Head offers stunning views of the city, water, and Rangitoto for those not willing to venue below the surface. I was quite pleasantly surprised that some of these tunnels literally need a torch if you're not keen to just walk in near total darkness depending on the time of day. Great sunset watching hill too by the way. Definitely worth checking it out as one of the most interesting city hiking areas.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome free lookout near Devonport. If you’re visiting Auckland, would recommend as a must see. Tunnels, cannons, they got the lot! Parking on site, short walk up to the lookout. Grass and facilities all maintained very well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a wonderful location. You get to see the lovely Auckland city skyline. Lovely place to visit with family and children. It's also a historic site with tunnels and plenty of play area for children. The views are stunning both day and night. I usually visit for a picnic on the weekends. If you don't have a vehicle, you can get a ferry from the city to Devonport. Parking ?️ facilities available. Toilet ? facilities available. Very clean and we'll maintained. Lovely little town nearby and you get everything from restaurants, grocery stores, museum, library and many more. I recommend you to visit this lovely place if you are in Auckland.
