★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been visiting ever since I was a child. 30 years later this place still amazes me. Always well looked after. Beautiful flower garden. Great views of the harbour. Nice walking area. Great picnic area on the grass. Plenty of grass to let the kids run around and tire themselves out. Ample parking. Public toilets. Cafe on site. Just be careful of gate closing times.

Beautifully laid out gardens, unfortunately the time of year means the gardens aren't full of plantings, but the roses still look great. Not a big walk from the carpark, definitely worth spending an hour or two enjoying serenity in the middle of the city
