★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We do not recommend staying here, the room 1009 was filfy, I had to ask for the cleaner to come back as we checked in, the beds are sooooo bad & hard we could feel the springs and they do not have proper aircon, the room was sooo uncomfortable and hot we barly slept. This is an emergency housing facility & police were coming and going and as a paying customers a simple heads up would have been great either apon booking or checking in. The washing machine broke so they put our clothes in a bag and left it on the floor where the dirty water soaked into the carpet an smelt, We had a awful stay which is unfortunate as we were visiting family for the first time since covid and this was ment to be a enjoyable week away but the accommodation let us down big time. Safe to say we would never return nor recommend to anyone

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed overnight. It’s hard to locate the entrance while using the maps. Rooms were good equipped with all accessories you need . The tiny aircon in living area is useless and also no table fan in bed rooms, nightmare for summer nights

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My family (wife plus two young boys) had booked 3 nights at MCentral but ended up checking out after 20 minutes.
MCentral is truly tragic and I can't discourage families enough from booking here.
The 2 bedroom apartment was in a terrible state, people who had previously occupied the apartment had serious anger management issues as there were holes in the walls, doors and scratch marks on nearly every surface in the apartment. Yes the holes were repaired but extremely poorly. We also noticed there had been graffiti on our floor's hallway at some point and hastily painted over. The building and apartment felt very unwelcoming.
After arriving we immediately had a bad vibe about the place as we noticed a lot of shady/unsavory people outside the main entrance and walking around the reception area. The lift smelt strongly of cigarette smoke (we subsequently learnt MCentral are Emergency Housing providers).
The customer service was actually okay, we had no problems checking-in, cancelling and asking for a partial refund. I can't fault the customer service experience during our brief stay.
We lost $330 NZD due to cancelling after checking in (one nights stay plus all of Expedia's commission- I will avoid Expedia in future) and instead checked in to a nearby hotel. It was the best money I've ever lost.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This property is being somewhat misrepresented on Booking.com in my opinion.
1/ These are serviced apartments, and while the apartment we had was clean, what we were not aware of when we booked it, is that this building is used for WINZ emergency accommodation. While this is fine in and of itself - people have to have somewhere to go, it meant that there were a number of shady characters hanging around outside the building and in the reception area - it didn't feel terribly safe to us.
2/ Reception is not always available. When we arrived a young woman who had a booking was there with her children and had been waiting for an hour for someone to come and attend to her. She had been ringing the numbers given at the door, but to no avail. When someone did turn up finally, they were pretty unopologetic.
3/ As I have said, the apartment was clean, but the mattresses on the beds must be the cheapest on the market. They were innersprung and you could feel every spring! I couldn't sleep on it. I had to pull the squabs off the sofa, put a sheet over them and sleep on the floor ?
4/ The people in the apartment next to ours kept coming and going into the early hours of the morning, and every time they did they banged their door!
All in all an unpleasant experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decent room size with washing machine and somewhere to cook. Would not thought in this age that a very slow internet still exist as in kbps reminds me of the modem era which is 20 years ago. Tried 4 different access point and same result. At least it has noisy portable air conditioning unit to cool you down.

The receptionist was rude and dismissive. The lobby (if you can call it that) was filthy and the elevator had puddles of God knows what on floor. It took us at least 5 mins each time to get into our room or lock it as the lock was broken. The room was a decent size although it had a musky smell similar to old socks and cigarettes. The towels weren’t clean and the room was not thoroughly cleaned. It was hot so we turned on the standalone aircon that didn’t work very well and if you need the rooms cooled then you will need to move it around yourself as that’s all they provide. The desk isn’t managed 24 hours and found it difficult to find someone to relay our concerns to. We also paid for parking and after a day out we came back to find our parking had been taken. We finally got through to someone who told us there’s nothing they could do and continued to give us different car park spots that were already taken. No point in paying for parking if they don’t manage it. There are unsavoury characters staying in the hotel as it is a location for emergency housing. Not safe at all as there was no security that we could see. When we checked out there were other hotel guests complaining and asking for refunds. We asked for a refund and they refused and gave credit. If I could give this place a zero I would. I will never stay here again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DO NOT STAY HERE...The worse stay I have ever experienced in my life. Room was dirty and the bed was so springy and old. Could not sleep all night. Not at all worth $170 per night which I paid for. The room is nothing like what they have advertised. Obviously the owners take no pride in their business and just wants to make money. Not at all worth what they charge. I wish I could post photos on here which I took.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed overnight. Couldn’t locate the entrance easily, location is great though. Receptionist was not very friendly, but informative. We paid for parking. Room had 2 bedrooms, both located such that there was no proper ventilation. There was one cooler that couldn’t be moved from the living area so basically during summers it is very stuffy until the cooler manages to cool down the whole apartment. They had a lounge chair inside that looked so dirty we didn’t use it. But had amenities including dishwasher, washer dryer which was great. Convenient for a short stay.
