Still, there remains a thirst for adventures and new possibilities so I did the research and found I had options. I bought a MeloYelo and there it was: Freedom, but at my own pace. A little bit of speed but not out of control and not least, a little bit of bling with quirky but classy design. My smoky blue Tranzit has looks and function.
A whole new world of NZ's natural wilderness has opened up for me, on beautiful trails I would never have access to on foot these days. But I'm also an urban girl. I feel alive in the city I live in, making use of new cycleways amongst cyclists of all ages, enjoying a feeling of community, the cityscapes, the harbour, the joy of exercise, friends who also bike, coffee, and perhaps even being a small part of a movement towards better and sustainable city living. Who needs a Harley? Buying my MeloYelo has felt really good and it has enriched my live in so many ways."

β β β β β I am in my mid 60's & while I have biked in previous years, due to hip issues have found it increasingly harder to get out & ride.
I purchase a Melo Yelo town & Trail in December 2021 and have since ridden 300kms on the bike. It has opened up a new world of experience, I live on the Kapiti Coast and riding the expressway track & other tracks around the area has been an enjoyable experience. The bike is superb to ride & while some friends have said it is a cheat to own an e bike, I know I would not have ridden the distances I have on a non e bike.
Shane, the dealer in kapiti is very knowledgeable & a very helpful bloke to deal with.

β β β β β I love my MeloYelo bike which is so easy to ride when itβs windy and also up the hill I live at the top of.
I am impressed with the philosophy of the company and found trying the bike on a quiet country road at Daveβs place in Otaki made all the difference and gave me the confidence that I was purchasing a very good product.
I havenβt yet got to my 500km for various reasons but when I do I shall be availing myself of the free service check.
I have recommended MeloYelo to a number of people and have no hesitation in doing this.
Great product, great company and the reps have great knowledge as they are bikers themselves.
