★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious homemade Mexican food. Tasted great. Grandma was really friendly. They only open on lunch, except on Friday. Unlike other Mexican restaurants which is mostly for ordering some foods for sharing, you can be satisfied with ordering one food.

The food here is all made by an amazing Thai abuela who will make sure your taste buds are pampered and is the sweetest lady. I honestly don't know how she learnt to cook like that but I suspect divine intervention.
The costs are moderate (Around 20ish per plate) but you definitely get what you pay for as almost every dish comes with a generous helping of guacamole (Which makes Taco Bell/Mexicali/Insert generic Mexican takeaway here's guacamole taste like straight up garbage), and the serving sizes are substantial. For the beef soft tacos I ordered, the abuela told me the higher price was due to making it with Eye fillet steak cuts which were spiced & cooked to perfection (That's medium rare for the steak aficionados out there). If you ask me, she should have charged more for them.
This is definitely on my 5+ star tier list and is head and shoulders above other restaurants. Will definitely be returning to try the other menu items.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Deliciously unusual and delightfully friendly. I loved the two vegetarian dishes we had. I loved the conversation with the lady running the place. I loved the unusual decor. I loved that it wasn't the same flavours or even the same experience that you get in every Auckland restaurant. Yum.

First of all customer service - Grandma is the loveliest woman ever she's very friendly and makes ever visit extremely pleasant .
secondly the food- she doesn't always have all the items on the menu as she makes everything fresh and all by herself. Every bite is made with love. From the taco shells, nachos and juice. All handmade and fresh daily. Nothing beats taste and quality with Grandma. Every dish every time is always on point.
Thirdly authenticity- I have no idea how grandma knows how to cook like a local Mexican but she makes it the way it is made in Mexico. If you want proper Mexican food come here instead of those chain Mexican Californian style chains. She makes the real deal which is alot better.
