★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was clean and tidy, the studio was spacious. Dilmar tea was fantastic and plenty of milk for the amount of cups of tea I have. Plenty of hot water in the shower, though a bit of a step up, or down when getting in and out of the shower. An elder person (or if you have a hip or knee injury) would have trouble. The little wall heater was surprising effective at keeping the room at a cozy 20 degrees. Bed side lights were a bit too bright, good for reading in bed, but stunning if happen to glance at them. Being light sensitive, they were a bit much for me. Over all very good, I would come back again to the Mountain View Motel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is very cosy, comfortable beds, heat blankets (if that's what you call them) cheap, as I was only there for one night only. Its very close to the shops, vets, noel lemmings and all sorts of sorts. If you get lost GPS is always handy. It doesn't have a kitchen, but it's got a kettle, toaster, microwave, mini fridge, Sky TV. There's also alot of places to order from and they do deliver to your motel. There's alot of pamphlets at the Reception area. You will discover alot of places you would want to visit or eat at. This place is amazing and the owner is so amazing as well. She would go out of her way to help you with whatever your concerns are about. Like for an example looking for a socket to charge your phone, laptop etc she would come and help you. Again it's awesome here. I would of loved to stay for one while week but I had work the next day. ❤️ ❤️

We had a warm and lovely good sized room. With the services I expected.
The friendly staff went above and beyond what was expected when a family member ended up in hospital. They helped out as they could and made a very stressful time a lot easier.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A gem of a place. This hotel is off the main roads so it is very quiet. Well appointed and worth far more than what was charged. My Taupo go-to accommodation for the future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We arrived 2 days before lockdown and was only booked for3 nights. As our flights to England had been cancelled the Owner said we could stay and we were only paying for 5 nights instead of 7. Also we were given a better room with cooking facilities. They could not do enough for us. We finished having to stay until 20th April.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s perfect! Super friendly check in. Back yard with bbq, chairs and table. Quiet, clean and smells fresh.
Beds very clean and comfy! Super close to town, and waterfront.
Price is great! Will use again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly staff and the room was lovely and clean. We booked a studio unit which was a very basic room, no kitchen just microwave, refrigerator, jug and toaster, no aircon or fan which would be a problem in hotter weather and no view. The bed was pretty bad it was hard and you could feel the springs, the sliding window beside the bed rattled quite badly in the breeze.
