★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I think Mr Zhou's has the potential to compete with the 5 star cheap eats like those found on dominion road. We had a variety of dishes and all were cooked just right! Didn't know what to expect with the Taro Milk Tea but it was ok. My favorites were the tofu with spring onions, the spare ribs on brown sauce, and the pancake. Giving only 4 stars today as we did arrive late but not closing time late and the worker started to mop and bleach smell was strong at times. Will come back to try more dishes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We got uber and it took an hour to get to our house after sitting in the restaurant for 55mins. Food was cold and we ended up reheating it. The lemon chicken was super bitter. Very disappointed as this was our favorite dish from Mr zhaos. Overall a bad experience

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best Chinese restaurants in the Auckland area, the dumplings are of course the star of the show but dont be afraid to try their noodle dishes as well. Reasonably priced and generous portions!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I did a phone order. Beef & chives dumplings mere mushy. Everything else was nice but not worth the price. The place is disgustingly filthy. I used my key to push the numbers on eftpos kepypad - it was that gross. The tables and chairs were sticky I didn't want to sit so decided to wait in my car instead. Leftover roll of carpet, boxes, broken table left at the front door and the floors need a steam clean. When was the last time they gave the place a vacuum?! The amount of dirt, grit& grass at the front door is disgusting

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonton noodle soup lacked flavour, pork and prawn dumplings were good but the fried pork slices in sweet and sour is definitely not worth it, no vegetables or anything in an average size serving for nearly $25 definitely won’t be back, sorry team.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 12/08/21 - tried the vege fried noodles again. Sadly I was totally underwhelmed. I literally counted 4 decent slices of tofu and a few crumbled bits, 6 slices of mushroom, sliced cabbage and 4 julienne pieces of carrot. Part of the noodles were all clumped together and not cooked through.
The place has never been the same since it was taken over a few years ago.....
Review 3 yrs ago - vegetarian fried pancake, fried noodles & dumplings. Been here lot's. This meal was not their best. Completely missing some key core ingredients usually included. Disappointed

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not the best place to dine in, but the quantity is great. Food is definitely flavorful and comes out of the kitchen pretty quick. Value for money but the taste of the dumplings could improve as well as the decor, but other than that...definitely a try if you are in the new-lynn area.B+

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst customer service with lower than average food. Dumplings are not too good and not too bad honestly but just bear in mind the customer service could be really bad.
I understand that the front desk member could feel exhausted providing the service all by herself. But have no idea why we are so neglected compared with other customers.
Will never ever visit again and definitely share my experience with friends and families.
Btw this is not even technically pan fried dumplings. This is just how we deal with the left over dumplings when we are sick of having boiling ones again during CNY
