NZ Fabrics & Yarn has a large selection of New Zealand designed, produced and themed products in stock including:

Our store is located in Auckland's historic Birkenhead suburb, about a 15 minute drive or a $20 Uber ride from Auckland's business district and cruise terminal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing yarn store in Auckland’s CBD. What I loved about this unexpected find was the service was fantastic. I was welcomed when I arrived and we ended out talking patterns, yarns and all sorts of tips of my knitting.
The stocks of New Zealand yarns is wonderful and I am grateful to take home some beautiful merino / possum blends that are going to make the most soft fluffy shawls.
Highly recommended yarn store if you are visiting Auckland.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic little fabric shop tucked away in the heart of Auckland. (You need to head down Queen Arcade to get to it.) From yarn, to wool, thread to prints, this shop has it all. There are kits and patterns, most things to get started with or to complete that special hand made present. Staff are friendly and helpful. This place is easily accessible on your lunch break.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tracey! You are Extremely rude!! Never experienced this kinda customer service before! You need to work on your phone call communication skills before opening a business!! At least introduce yourself and what business you are from, and never ever say “bye” and hang up, on your customer first before they fully understand what you are talking about! And never ever cancel your customer’s order before they ask you to do so! Remember you are in New Zealand follow the kiwi way not the American/Canadian way. Will definitely NOT recommend this business at all!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went in to ‘just look’ and ended up spending $$$. The shop was colourful and spacious with a great variety of yarn, fabrics, patterns, cottons, and most other things ‘crafty’! The lady who attended to me (possibly the owner) was a wealth of knowledge and truly very helpful. She also explained that the move to Birkenhead was only just a recent move from the CBD. And tbh a great location now, too.
Prices are competitive, great levels of stock and very inviting as there was a lovely big table in the store which had a ton of crafts and knitted pieces placed around it for customers’ perusal. I’ll be going back for sure so ‘Thank you!!’ ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love this small shop in Auckland. Nice range of quilting fabrics and yarn. Plenty of choice with knitting supplies, threads etc. Just a shame the city centre will be losing it soon. Probably, the last place in the CBD for supplies.
