β β β β β Amazing food, so tasty, portion size was fabulous so great value for money, and the staff were so lovely and the service so efficient. I had chicken satay skewers, and the Pad Thai. With the portion size being so large and so flavorsome, my eyes were bigger than my stomach, but needless to say I will get to have my leftover's the next day so that will be 2 amazing dinners in a row!! Well done Noodle Monk, I will certainly be getting the family here. I left with a huge smile and full belly. Yummmmmmm

β β β β β Ordered 3 dishes today.
Entry: deep fried chicken drum. This is the reason we still give 2 stars.
GREEN CURY: really average. Not recommended
Beef noodle: below average. The aniseed is the only favour. I feel like chewing aniseed directly. Still finished it as I donβt like wasting food.
Will not attend again. Guess we have no luck here

β β β β β Very disappointed. It was the first and last time at this Thai restaurant at Riverside. Today I ordered a Thai Fried rice and after a long delay, my dish had practically only rice, with 3 small pieces of carrot, broccoli and beef. That's a shame, if you're not going to serve the whole dish, let the customer know first. I do not recommend!

β β β β β Very disappointed with the Fried Rice. Its almost soaked in oil. Too greasy, it made me sick afterwards. Was really looking forward to it.
I have no idea what happened to their standard but it was not like that before. What a waste of money as lots of it was not eaten.

β β β β β The Pad Thai here is my favorite in Christchurch so far! Generous portion (always have leftovers), quick service, and quality ingredients.

β β β β β Dear manager/ owner,
Your reply to my previous complaint, is testimony of your poor quality of customer service. Hence, there is no apology at all. You are trying to rectify your lack of professional service, by taking word of what your team members have told you. Be reassured that I would not take the effort to write this review if the experience wasn't beyond bad. As I remained calm, even other guests in the restaurant supported my inquiry (not harassment) of closing the kitchen before 9:00 pm (you advertise 9:30pm closing time), whilst one of your team members handed over a menu card. And how is it possible that the stoves were turned of while there were two meals still being delivered. This is a clear example of your honesty and integrity being seriously questioned. I guess future reviews will give you an answer to that. Good luck with your business during these hard times. You will need it!!

The customer service of the manager behind the counter was embarrassing and rude!! She started 'yelling' when I challenged her early closing time whilst another colleague gave me a menu card, and told me the kitchen was still open. I completely understand the limitations during this pandemic. However I was completely overwhelmed. Apparently this manager was prepared to make a scene in front of other customers, whilst she was completely in the wrong (my opinion). Very sad, we need to support each other. Unfortunately she doesn't get that concept ??!!

β β β β β Good food but messed up my order. I ordered a red vegetarian curry and got a green chicken one instead. Obviously couldn't eat it because of this and they hung up on me twice when I tried to call.
It's a little expensive for what it is.
Edit: once I finally got a hold of them they were really nice about it and sorted it out quickly.
