Delays
- As a result of aircraft engineering issues, there are delays to some parcels sent by courier between the North and South Islands yesterday in both directions.
Delays to Mail Items:
- Due to precautionary maintenance on some of our electric mail buggies, delays of up to 2 days are expected for mail items across the country. These delays only impact mail delivered through our Paxster fleet – not Courier or Rural items.
- As our posties continue to deliver mail with a reduced fleet and through other means of transport, there is a small backlog forming. This will clear once the Paxsters are back up and running.
Delays to Parcels:
- We are experiencing delays of up to 2 days with parcel deliveries across much of the North Island, excluding Central and East Auckland, Palmerston North and Wellington, and up to 3 days in the Waikato/Hamilton area as a result of ongoing high levels of absenteeism due to illness.
- We are experiencing delays for parcel delivery of up to 2 days across much of the South Island, excluding Nelson, Blenheim, Timaru and Ashburton.
We’re working hard to get all items to their destinations safely but apologise for the inconvenience caused by these delays.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff really need customer service training. It is not acceptable to argue with a customer and with the right skills, it is easily avoidable. I am not an expert in filling out forms but to be told to read the back and not to argue, when I question something is not a good response. Meanwhile the person next to me was having a similar argumentative experience over an address. Not the first time this has happened in this shop and if I could go somewhere else I would. Unpleasant place to visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a horrible experience! My mother finished work at 4:30 and had to go to the post office, I’m aware they close at 5 but that is no excuse for this woman’s behaviour. My Mum didn’t get it right the first few times and this woman scoffed at her and did not once offer to help then when she got it wrong a second time this woman muttered for F sakes under her breath to my mum. So to the curly dark headed lady learn some respect and patience or leave your job because your customer service skills are absolutely disgusting!!

The customer service is about as polite as the ladies at the AA store. Non existent.
Fair enough the customers coming in probably often get it wrong but there’s no need to bark at them after all they’re getting paid to stand there looking miserable.
In fact their service is so bad here I have had to hop online and give this bad review, which is something I’d never normally do.
On a positive note - the shops not that bad.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is okay I got a few of my parcels delivered , but one of my biggest orders about $300 got delivered to the wrong address thank lord the neighbours came over and gave it back but it was open ?! , I didn't want them snooping through my things !! , deliver correctly and make sure it's right next time !! for gods sake

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ WORST COURIER SERVICE IN NZ. Pay for overnight delivery, and 7 days later, still waiting for my parcel. It's only been sitting in the depot for the last 5 days. Absolutely useless, and the company doesn't care.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a horrible experience, I walked in there wanting to post a parcel. I have never done this before so I simply asked what I needed to do. To the old lady with glasses, short white hair, learn some customer service, patience and respect!! Whilst me completely clueless on what to do she was muttering under her breath, scoffing at me and looking me up and down so judgementally, and then had the guts to tell me that apparently “I was wasting her and everyone’s else time there, and to come back later when I’ve done it properly” ummm hello I asked how to do it as I don’t KNOW HOW TO. Seriously learn how to look after your customers!! Such an unpleasant visit, next time might just travel to palmy then to be verbally abused again, just for asking for help.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unlike many other reviewers I found staff quite friendly, especially a petite older woman who served me. There was another older woman sitting behind the others (with her mask half off unlike the others who were very diligent) who was sighing and barking commands at a younger woman who was obviously new as if she was an idiot, which I did not think was fair, which is the only reason I haven't given them a 5.
