Delays
- As a result of aircraft engineering issues, there are delays to some parcels sent by courier between the North and South Islands yesterday in both directions.
Delays to Mail Items:
- Due to precautionary maintenance on some of our electric mail buggies, delays of up to 2 days are expected for mail items across the country. These delays only impact mail delivered through our Paxster fleet – not Courier or Rural items.
- As our posties continue to deliver mail with a reduced fleet and through other means of transport, there is a small backlog forming. This will clear once the Paxsters are back up and running.
Delays to Parcels:
- We are experiencing delays of up to 2 days with parcel deliveries across much of the North Island, excluding Central and East Auckland, Palmerston North and Wellington, and up to 3 days in the Waikato/Hamilton area as a result of ongoing high levels of absenteeism due to illness.
- We are experiencing delays for parcel delivery of up to 2 days across much of the South Island, excluding Nelson, Blenheim, Timaru and Ashburton.
We’re working hard to get all items to their destinations safely but apologise for the inconvenience caused by these delays.

β β β β β Absolutely worst place ever! I went twice, it was the same people served me. The attitude was so bad, kind of racis. I was waiting and then the lady served the one whom stand behind me in the line. Then she said to me with the disregard face: "I also had to run the lotto"

β β β β β Worst customer service. Have walked out of store multiple times unhappy. First the staff member falsely accusing me of pushing in after waiting in the long line for 15 minutes. (1 staff member on) The second time no pens were provided, I asked the same lady if I could borrow her pen and she blankly says βno. You have to buy oneβ. Pens are a basic item for a post shop to have. Ended up going to the post shop on rangitikei street where I feel welcomed and where the customer service is awesome.
Will never go here again for anything.

β β β β β Worst experience ever. Went there two times and was served by two different people, one was quite helpful while the other was outright rude. I was waiting in line and she was on her phone. She was not inviting whatsoever, only replying to me with quick sharp words like "no
or "yes". She was not polite in anyway. Ended up going to the post office at terrace end where the service was much better and professional.

β β β β β I personally want to thank the staff for the outstanding customer service I received today I am personally dealing with issues of stress the staff were very understanding and caring and gave me reassurances and quickly cleared up everything I need say a BIG Thank You to the hard working caring staff.

β β β β β Well interestingly they charged about $29 less than what a Four Square in Raumati South quoted for an express parcel to overseas! However, the drama given by the young lady (later came to know to be Sam) atvthe counter explained why this store has well earned so many bad reviews! The parcel finally reached the destination without any issue, so I won't provide too much details of the drama! But I could do without the stress the drama had caused, especially when in the next few days Covid related lockdown had started! NZ Post, please train all these irresponsible counter clerks to be like rest of the New Zealanders, genuine and honest!

β β β β β If there is a choice of minus score I would like to give the attitude and service here minus. The lady I think it is the one people describe bald girl in below comments with a cap so arrogant and donβt want to say one more extra word to a foreigner. Face expression is frozen and no any patience. Only want to finish within 2 words . The the tone she is talking showed a great unwelcoming attitude. I will never come here again! Most of New Zealander are so nice but she is an exception! But Iβm happy I learn to do the rego myself from online service if it is not because of her bad attitude! I saw so many people complain this post office bad service and attitude, was wondering why the boss donβt consider to improve their service and the location is in the center of city, it is a bad sign of such a beautiful Palmerston North !

β β β β β Basically, I don't get to finish from my work everyday until after 4.30 pm everyday. I've got a really important item to send to overseas today, so I went there at the first instance (as the one down in Terrance End reportedly closes at 4.30pm). So I arrived this post shop late, like around 10 mins before they close. So I know I was late, and I quickly filled out the form, and went to the front desk paid for the courier.
However, the lady said I wasn't filling out the form in capital letters, and I put a dollar sign in the box where I declared it value of the item. I was being given another form, asked to fill it out, and "come back tomorrow". I explained to her my work situation, and said I'd filled it out as quickly as possible; she declined it, charged me for the post bag and sent me off.
Honestly, I knew I was late, and they've got a total right not to offer any service after hour. However, I just find the lack of understand unhelpful, also with the passive aggression and obsessive compulsion being obstructive. This is me first time being turned down for not filling out the custom declaration form in capital letter, to be fair.
I've also read the reviews written by other customers and it's rather obvious that there's some customer service issue needed to be address.
