★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spectacular views! Uninterrupted views of sunrise and sunset over the largest body of water on earth (there is nothing in between the coastline and Chile). The host, Grant, is a colourful character full of interesting tales. He refers to himself as Grant the Vibe Merchant. The accomodation was well appointed, private and comfortable. Bring your own towels if staying in a room other then Tui. I intend to return for a longer stay in the near future. A great place to “centre” yourself.

We had the little hut with sea view and the detached shower. It was so so great! It was cosy, warm and right into nature alone with the sea view and the birds.
The shower was warm, so no problems there! And on the other side of the house you have an unobstructed, alone in the world sunset!
Would love to go back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positive: (Labour weekend/KingFisher Hut) - I am not one for outdoor toilets and showers and my entire family was very surprised that I had booked this hut. We were at a big family reunion the night before so it really was just a bed, shower and sleep before we headed home Sunday morning. One word "SPEECHLESS" I realised I had TIME to just enjoy the company surrounding me without technology. If you are not fussy and can let your guard down without worrying about necessities in your life then this is the place. Views were spectacular surrounding the entire property. Outdoor toilet/shower were both very clean. The hut itself was very cosy, all you needed, nothing flash, just peace and quiet with the basics included. DO NOT FORGET to close your doors immediately after sunset otherwise you will have buzzing friends with you all night. I walked into the hut very tired, stressed, over worked and underwhelmed, I walked out cleansed, completely happy, greatful and ENGAGED... OML Yayyyyy. I was one happy girl on my return to Auckland. Thank you so much for having us Brigette and hubby..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positive: The view from the rooms is amazing! Breath taking. Friendly staff. Negative: The bed was too small, we didn't fit on the bed ( two slims, one tall one short) and I eventually ended up on the couch. The furniture is very old and in a basic condition. With some effort, the place will look much nicer and more pleasant to stay in.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positive: The sunrise views were absolutely spectacular and the room exceeded expectations being more spacious than it looked like on the photos. Everything was very clean and tidy. Hosts were really welcoming, friendly and helpful. Loved the outdoor bush shower. Would consider going back in the future for sure.. Negative: Being both very tall people we found the double bed a bit too small..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little spot off the beaten path. Tons of mosquitos at dusk (likely contributed to by the large number of uncovered rain catch buckets right next to room). Amazing spot with breathtaking views and super friendly owner/operators. Its a "roughing it" option for sure, but if you're ok with that type of stay then I recommend it 100%.
