About Omega Rental Cars - Auckland Airport Car Hire
Drivers must be 18yrs old or over. If you are between the ages of 18-20 the insurance excess is $2500 and you are not eligible to purchase CDW (collision damage waiver) to reduce this excess. A $2500 bond is required. If you are 21 or over the insurance excess may be reduced to either $400 or NIL by purchasing our Gold or Silver Insurance Cover (CDW).
The only exception to this is our Today's Deal car category - for this car type only, hirers who are 18-20 years old may purchase CDW in order to reduce the insurance excess to NIL. In this case, so long as the hirer presents a credit card, they will not be required to leave a bond.
Note that to hire a specialty vehicle (MPV, SUV, Family SUV, Premium SUV, Luxury SUV, Premium Elite & Premier) you must be 21 years old or over and hold a full drivers licence, ie. a restricted (or Australian red P1) licence is not accepted.

I had an after hours pick up, which was very easy and my car was clean and in very good condition. Unfortunately for me the car was stolen 2 weeks into the rental, but the staff at Omega made it easy for me to get a replacement car and were very supportive in a stressful situation. Omega Rentals biggest asset is their amazing staff!

Had to extend vehicle due to unforeseen reasons but was easy done. Overall great experience with Omega! Will be back on our next trip :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We recently hired a small car from Omega for pick up and return to Auckland Airport. We spent 4 nights in Auckland and then travelled north to the Bay of Islands with day trips further north as well.
Shuttle service is great (as depot is about a 5-10 min drive from Airport). Hassle-free pick up, friendly and helpful staff and car was perfect for our needs.
Reasonably priced rental - vehicle we had was an economy level vehicle so a little older (2016 model) but perfectly adequate and still in good condition.
We have used Omega a few different times and will continue to use them as we have had no problems. Happy to recommend.

Omega/RAD ticked all the boxes, and had friendly, helpful and efficient staff as well. I fact, when I needed another rental a week later, I went straight back to them. No hidden costs and their insurance waiver was best value from those I compared. A good reasonably late model car. Drop off they went out of their way to be early and efficient when we changed flight plans to get in early to beat the cyclone. I recommend the company and their staff were great.
