★ ★ ★ ★ ★ North facing, long white sandy beach with a bit of surf in the right conditions at the eastern end. Pohutukawa trees hang over the beach and a smattering of restaurants and cafes make this a wonderful destination on Waiheke Island

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This would have to be the best beach of all on Waiheke Island, even there are plenty of beautiful beaches I.e. Man of War Bay. But Onetangi is something else for it's entire length, generally extremely safe and quite sheltered and if a bit exposed then one of either ends will still be sheltered and great for swimming, sun bathing or just watching the views. Three great restaurants quite central, with the 372 being the best probably on the entire island and that's really saying something as there are many real world class restaurants. Onetangi beach and bay are just stunning with some very nice stones and rocks to be found having been swept up by the tides. Theres toilets, change rooms available and just driving from one end to the other is beautiful. Charlie Farley's Farley's icecreams from Kapiti are really nice as well, especially the Black Plum flavor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful on a good day. Plenty of space for our beach cricket. Just like another world really. Slow pace of life and yet a great restaurant and pub. Sealed roads back to the ferry, supermarket, building supply depot and large shopping precinct at Oneroa.
